SESSION 1 starts on 3rd August

Purpose of the Module 

This module focuses on the key issues relating to leading and managing people as important resources in organisation. The module aims to explore the theoretical and ethical issues underpinning the management of people in education and also links the theory and practice of managing people in diverse contexts. Approach to Teaching and Learning. 

In this module problem-based learning (PBL) is foregrounded. PBL is learning that results from working with problems. It is an instructional strategy in which students strive to find meaningful solutions to real human resource management problems in education. 

 Assessments

 Assessment in this module is 100% continuous and there is no examination. The continuous assessment comprises four assessment tasks broken down as follows: 

1. Seminar presentation = 10% 

 2. Online task = 10% 

3. Minor Assessment = 20% (This will be 1500 words written from the seminar presentation). 

 4. Major Assignment =60%

As a post-graduate student, it is expected that you will attend seminars and workshops related to your research interest.

Further, those of you who are interest in pursuing research in this particular field are welcome to write to Prof Inba Naicker  to see if he can arrange a one-on-one session for you.
